Over the last couple weeks, I’ve discovered a concept that I’ve finally been able to put into words. This is something I feel I lacked as a new designer who was coming from the business world where the books either balanced or they didn’t. There was always a right answer and a wrong answer. For the most part, things were always black and white.
When I came to Design I brought that same attitude and mindset. It took time, but eventually, I’ve learned that it requires empathy to design solutions that work for others outside of myself, and quite frankly, that’s the only way to design.
